2008 Donation Tops 1500 Items

Doubles 2007 totals

Casting Off the Cold has made its winter 2008 donation, giving over 1,500 items to representatives of ten organizations.  Many members were on hand to meet the reps and find out more about the services they provide, and get an idea of the types of items they need most.

The representatives were thrilled with the amount and quality of the knitted and crocheted goods they collected, and were happy to thank many of the crafters personally for their work.

The event was covered by Snap!Markham, the Stouffville Free Press and CityTV news.  CityTV will air the piece in their weekly 'Liveable City' 6:00 news segment on CityTV and CP24.
